Hallo,
ich bin Natalie Strohmaier, freiberufliche Fotografin und visuelle Künstlerin aus München.
Mein kreativer Weg begann ursprünglich beim architektonischen Gebäudeentwurf und führte über die Gestaltung von Kulissen für Filmprojekte zur inszenierten Fotografie.
Ich verbinde angewandte mit künstlerischer Fotografie und erschaffe in meinem Studio und am Computer inszenierte Bildwelten. Im Zentrum meiner Arbeit steht ein konzeptueller Ansatz. Jedes Projekt basiert auf einer übergeordneten Idee, die ich gestalterisch je nach Thema in eine eigene Bildsprache übersetze, mal reduziert, mal opulent, oft humorvoll, aber stets bewusst konzipiert. Mit viel Gespür für Form, Licht und Komposition entstehen Bildwelten, die visuell fangen und inhaltlich wirken.
In freien Projekten beschäftige ich mich mit gesellschaftlichen Themen aus der Alltagskultur – etwa dem Überfluss an Zucker und Plastik, unrealistischen Schönheitsidealen oder der Work-Life-Balance von berufstätigen Müttern.

I am Natalie Strohmaier, a freelance photographer and visual artist based in Munich.
My background lies in architecture and set design for film, which continues to shape the way I approach photography today.
My work moves between applied and artistic photography. I create carefully staged images in my studio and through digital processes, always guided by a conceptual framework. Each project begins with an underlying idea that evolves into a distinct visual language, sometimes minimal, sometimes opulent, often with a subtle sense of humor, but always intentional. Form, light, and composition play a central role in shaping images that are both visually engaging and conceptually grounded.
Alongside commissioned work, my independent projects explore social themes rooted in everyday culture, including the overabundance of sugar and plastic, unrealistic beauty standards, and the work–life balance of working mothers.
