Hallo,
ich bin Natalie Strohmaier, konzeptionelle Fotografin aus München.
Mein Weg führte über Architektur und Szenenbild zur Fotografie – geblieben ist die Liebe zum Entwerfen und zur kreativen Umsetzung.
Meine Fotografien entstehen aus Skizzen, Recherche und vielen Überlegungen: Farbe, Licht und Material folgen einer Idee – und nur selten dem Zufall. So entstehen Arbeiten, die bewusst inszeniert sind und zugleich Raum für eigene Interpretationen lassen.
Meine freien Projekte zeigen die Vielfalt meiner Bildsprache, die sich konzeptionell stets aus dem jeweiligen Thema entwickelt. In Auftragsarbeiten übertrage ich diese Haltung in klare, visuell durchdachte Lösungen.
Aktuell beschäftige ich mich intensiv mit bildgenerierender KI als kreativem Werkzeug. Ich sehe darin keine Konkurrenz zur Fotografie, sondern eine Erweiterung der gestalterischen Möglichkeiten – ein Feld, in dem sich Gedanken weiterdenken und sichtbar machen lassen.

I’m Natalie Strohmaier, a concept-driven photographer based in Munich.
My background in architecture and set design continues to shape the way I create – with a deep love for planning, building, and transforming ideas into images.
Each photograph begins long before the camera: through sketches, research, and the slow process of shaping a concept. Color, light, and material are never accidental but part of a visual language that invites both clarity and interpretation.
My personal projects explore different themes through distinct visual styles. In commissioned work, I apply the same conceptual precision to develop clear and visually engaging solutions.
Lately, I’ve been exploring generative AI as a creative tool. I see it not as a replacement for photography, but as a way to expand how ideas can take form – another space to think visually and make imagination tangible.
